Our Drop-In service at Cyfle provides free, flexible and practical support for young people aged 16–24 across Gwynedd.
Funded through the Welsh Government’s Housing Support Grant, the service offers early help with any difficulties that may affect a young person’s wellbeing, independence or ability to live safely and securely. You do not have to be homeless or at immediate risk of homelessness to ask for support.
There is no formal referral process and no appointment is needed to make initial contact. Young people can contact us themselves or be introduced by someone they trust, such as a family member, school, college, youth worker or another professional. Support is available in a way that works for the young person.
They can:
-
Attend one of our community Drop-In sessions
-
Meet us at home or somewhere suitable in their local community
-
Arrange to see us at a school, college, youth setting or partner organisation
-
Speak to us over the phone
-
Contact us through social media or secure messaging
-
Arrange a video call through FaceTime or Zoom
We will listen to what is happening, help identify the most important next steps and offer information, advice, advocacy and practical support. Wherever possible, we will help resolve the issue quickly. If more specialist or longer-term support is needed, we will help the young person connect with the right service and make sure they are not left to manage the process alone.
At Cyfle, there is no wrong door. Young people do not need to know exactly what support they need before getting in touch—they can simply start by talking to us.
